Real Madrid keep on struggling with injuries and there seems to be no end to it. The Whites have just played three league games and three of their best players are already injured.
According to the latest reports from Spain, Madrid's winger Vinicius Junior is set to miss four to six weeks of action after tearing his hamstring in the 13th minute of the match against Celta Vigo on Friday night.
Vinicius got the ball on the touchline on his own after which he made a long sprint — dribbling two defenders of the home side — at the end of the play, the Brazilian played the pass to his teammate Rodrygo but the ball didn't reach him due to miscalculated weight.
However, right after this moment, he was seen touching his hamstring and was taken to the sidelines for treatment.
The 22-year-old returned to the field after putting some bandages on but he couldn't continue and was eventually taken off in the 18th minute for Joselu.
After the match, Madrid's head coach Carlo Ancelotti stated that Vinicius' injury is minor but after the latest tests done on the footballer, he is set to be out for at least a month.
The Brazilian will miss the September International break and will also miss Madrid's visit to Wanda Metropolitano to face city rivals Atletico Madrid.
The reports state that Vinicius will be fit to return on October 22 when Los Blancos will take on Sevilla.
But, the exact date of his return is yet to be determined as it will depend upon how quickly the winger can recover.
Real Madrid cannot catch a break from injuries this season. Their first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and centre-back Eder Militao are already out till April 2024 after tearing their Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) earlier this season.
Moreover, their new signing Arda Guler is also out for two months after he underwent knee surgery as he injured his meniscus during Madrid's pre-season tour to the United States in July.
